It was my great honour this year to be asked to photograph the Anzac Day dawn ceremony at the Afghanistan Avenue of Honour at Yungaburra. The task was slightly daunting because the ceremony was held in the dark, but more importantly, because I wanted to be able to capture the essence of the moment whilst maintaining complete respect for the ceremony and all who are commemorated. I hope I achieved those aims.
I have proudly donated this image to the AAOH Committee with any print orders going to fund the upkeep of the memorial. One print size is available, 30″x 20″. Contact me for information.
